Kathryn J Petricca, nee Sherfinski age 69 of Mt Prospect died unexpectedly on January 13, 2018 . Beloved wife of Lou Petricca; loving mother of Dave (Dina) Petricca, Louis (Sherry) Petricca, Marty Petricca, Grace Petricca (Mike) Clarke; cherished grandmother of Alexa Danny, Joey, Tommy, Verona, Nathan and a granddaughter due to enter our world in March; dear sister of Carol, Barb and Mike Sherfinski; fond Sister in Law, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many.
Kathy was raised in Wausau, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Stella and Sylvester Sherfinski.
She eared a bachelor of fine arts degree in education from Edgewood College in Madison, Wisconsin before moving to the Chicago area. Kathy was gifted with creative talents, including ceramic painting at which she excelled, inspiring the Sugar Plum House Boutique. She most recently owned and operated Regal Home Sales by Kathy Petricca, an estate sale business through which she enjoyed meeting new people and was a great outlet for her love of discovery.
A strong women, cancer survivor, entrepreneur and artist, she especially loved her husband, children and grandchildren. She gave unwavering strength, joy, laughter and love to everyone she met and will be dearly missed.
Visitation Friday January 19, 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., (at Northwest Highway) Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
Visitation Saturday January 20, 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. at St. Raymond de Penafort Church, Elmhurst Rd., (Rt. 83) & Lincoln St., Mt. Prospect, IL 60056.
Interment All Saints Cemetery.
